Dear Reader

Just in case no one has ever told you, you are amazing. You bring a special something to the world that no one else does. Unfortunately, we live in a time when people aren’t saying these things to each other enough because we are too busy talking about the weather, or the economy, or politics, or social media, and what shows are worth streaming. In fact, we are so wrapped up in these things that most of us hardly ever get to have real conversations. But please know that you are surrounded by people at home, at work, at the grocery store, and on the street who secretly think you are amazing. Beautiful. Smart. Intelligent. Funny. Creative. And above all else, Special.

Special in a way that no one else can be. You are bringing something to this world that no one else does. And for some crazy reason when we interact with you, and we privately think to ourselves, Wow! This person is really great. We don’t actually say that to each other because we feel embarrassed, or shy, or jealous, or frankly because in our culture that’s just a weird thing to say to someone. Isn’t that sad? That we don’t take the time to tell each other how great we think you are?

So Reader, please know that even if no one is saying it, we’ve all been thinking you are a one of a kind amazing soul. Please don’t take this blanket post to mean that I’m not talking to You. Because YOU are exactly who I’m talking to. You are the one reading these words. And this post found you for a reason. What if you let that be a possibility, that this post found you right when you needed to hear it. It was written with you in mind.

Maybe you’ve been skimming through it until now. But give yourself permission to go back to the top and REALLY read it. Let this post be a secret love letter just for you. Because maybe you needed to hear this today. Maybe you didn’t realize it until just now. That’s OK. Everything I’ve said is for you. Give yourself permission to accept this gift. From me to you.

Just in case no one else remembers to tell you today, you are loved.

Love,
Wind
